yes, they are still out there, only I never find them in time!
my friend found this here in so. cal. hot rodded in the 60,s but never finished, drive shaft never installed , no wiring to motor , and no gas hooked up.
this was used as gardeners truck for years, parked and forgoten .. almost 30 years indoor storeage.
old man is checking out and my buddie got it for almost nothing. he kept in touch with the old guy for years, and finally the old man gave in and sold it to him.

That's really COOL http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif I like the license plate frames, whats the back one say? The ash trays on the doors are nice too. Does that motor have an oil filter? Can't tell because of the steering box. No oil filter means it's a "55" Chevy motor. Dean

I love the master cylinder mount. gitchy!
Good find... always amazes me that they just keep gettin found. Did anyone ever NOT save a 32 ford? I wonder.
Really nice.
Car grille shell too.
I'd love it.

Cool! Hey, How many louvers on that hood??? Don't most have 20? That one looks like it might be a 25-louver hood, and if so, worth some serious cash. Maybe???

Great old truck. Only thing I can see wrong is the absence of a clutch pedal. What's with all the bicycle parts?

Yes that is a passenger car hood and grill with the rare 25 louver hood. It was an option to help keep the flat heads cool and is worth lots of money to restorers.
