Another friggin newbie putting down my first post. I'm 38, live in Kannapolis, NC. I have two cars/projects currently. One is a 61 T-bird that is basically a stocker that I screw with on the weekends. I drive it to local dives and shows like the Heavy Rebel in Winston-Salem and the now defunct Rockabilly BBQ show that took place in Derita, NC. It ain't nothing special, but I love the hell outta drivin it. My other ride is a 62 Falcon that I am building from the ground up. I pulled it from the jaws of the crusher moments before it became a pile of scrap metal. The old engine was junk, so it got yanked and a built small block Ford is going in. The front suspension was tossed in favor of Granada discs and rear was swapped out for a 9" out of a 59 Ford with a posi.
Don't have much to say about myself, I'd rather talk about cars.

Yeah, they become special somehow when you rescue them that way. Snatched a 55 Olds 2 door hardtop the same way a lifetime ago. The jaws were literally swaying above the car ready to drop on it. $125 and I pushed it out from under doom and pulled it home. Same thing with the motor. Someone Spun it tight because several of the pushrods were bent like brake adjusting tools. One valve was blown completely through the top of the piston. But the engine still ran (very rough) till I pulled it down to find the extent of the damage. Found another early 60's 394 to drop back in to make it just the way I found it. Had a ball with that one, I'm sure your Falcon will bring you good times the same way. Keep us up to date with your progress!
Oh, and welcome aboard from Maryland!
