Hello everyone! My name is Mike. I found my truck on craigslist. Guy said it was a 53. The chassis number says it's a 50. Since it dosn't have hidden hinges, I figure it was made late in 50 or 51. The old dog still runs! Starting a restoration and of course having some small obstacles that are all a part of the project. The truck has been partially converted to 12-volt. I was debating whether or not to go 6. The only things that are 12 are the coil, battery, fuel pump and headlights. Has no alternator. Has a 6volt generator but not hooked up. Fun going through all the odds and ends of this truck. Oh the stories it could tell I am sure! Anyway, any info on good alternator to use, or places to get interior door handles, ashtray, front windshield (used) , Headlight bezel or hubcaps would be helpful. Otherwise, I will just keep searching one part at a time. Thanks!!

Welcome! IH issued a title when the truck sold, so even though it is a 1950, the title can say 1953...thus sitting on the dealer's lot for 3 years.

As for what you are looking for, I would say one part at a time is your best bet, IE Ebay, CL, etc.
