Got my front hubs back tonight and got the front sitting on the ground. The stance is just how I wanted it. Still waiting for sector for the steering box then ill be able to hook the rest of the steering up. I know Im probly looking for trouble but Im not running front brakes for the time being, I have all the parts and am plumbing the car for them, but it looks right without them.
I have a little bit of fabbing left then its time to blow it apart and start smoothing the body. I am giddy as a school girl. Enjoy.

Great choice in hot-rod wheels, IMHO....yeah, brakes are highly over-rated.

It's really something to see that thing take shape and come to life!
I can't imagine bringing it all together, then having to take the body apart for detail. I'd prob'ly keep it all together out of impatience, and go rodding. Way to stick with it, Greezy. How's it sound?

Your hot rod looks tough. You nailed the look.
That being said some asshole needs to speak up, so it might as well be me. Put brakes on it. Most of your stopping force comes from your front brakes. You will end up locking up the rear wheels as soon as you encounter any panic situation. The weight transfer during braking lightens the rear end. Your car is way to cool to have a smashed up grill or worse. A set of early Ford brakes (40-48) will look cool and get the job done on such a light car.
This is not a negative post, I dig what you have done I just don't want to see you or your family get hurt.

life or death(rod)? Put brakes on it

That looks cool!
Put brakes on it. You really have to look to see that it DOESN'T have brakes, so it's not even worth the "look". Street cars without brakes are ridiculous.

I drove a T bucket without front brakes. It wouldn't stop for nothin. Your car's heavier, and on slicks, put on the front brakes. Oh, it looks GOOD!!!!!!!!!!! Dean

For those of you worried about my well being and those around me, set your minds at ease. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif The brakes are going on, I mounted the drums to the hubs today. I have a complete 48 Ford setup thats going on the car.
greezy,
the a looks really good. i knew it would. i'm glad you decided to put the brakes on. i've got more friends than most, but i don't want to loose any of the ones i have. i'd rather come see you at your house than the hospital.
Looks great, having a "roller" is a great milestone...but I vote for front brakes, you WILL need them...

The car has "The-Look"....but put front disc brakes on it now, before you don't have a Coool "A" to drive anymore.
Brakes? We don't need no stinkin brakes!
The car is lookin HOT, G!
