Jeeeze.. already? Too damn early... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Well, here's what I've got this week. Took a few shots down at my friend's shop. I'm kinda pissed... the shots came out pretty good when it comes to tones, values and shot placement, but the quality of my camera SUCKS... 2.0 meg/pixel just doesn't do the trick. Looks good small though...

Kojack

Shop shots... check the link in my sig for bigger versions. They look a bit better.

thanks for the heads up Dan....just finished a piece for "Brush" but he hasn't seen it so I won't ruin the surprise. Here's some little circles I cut out of the remaining MDO and the paint I added to 'em. Had this idea for all of the VD talk. Just a funny thought, I really don't have any care negative or positive for the VD controversies. Just keepin' it light!

Have a rockin' weekend!

Hey Safariknut,

Very kool pics of the Indy car. Most people don't realize nowadays that Indy cars in the '70's had alot of traditional striping on them. I have quite a few of the old " Racing Pictorial " magazines that bear this out.

Great job, sir! A great friday by the rest of the posters today too.

It was the 1972 Indy 500 winner.I was contacted by a guy who does some really great custom paint work(Joe Stanford of Insane Designz). He had been contracted to replace the lettering and graphics on the car.It had been completely refurbished and was headed for a museum in Arizona. He was a little hesitant about doing the striping on it(he shouldn't have been;he really does great work)so he asked if I would do it.I did and also wound up doing some small lettering on the car.The rest of the lettering and numbers were stencils that were hand-painted in by him.
I have some other pics of the car on the pinstripers page site.
