i put a 6a box along with a blaster coil and msd disributer in my 37 plymouth (350 sbc) my problem is i'm getting a very weak spark at the coil and nothing at the plugs. the box is very basic to hook up and i feel i've checked everything and yes i've got a good ground. i've gone as far as borrowing another box and coil but same results! any sugggestions? thanks

Make sure you have a full 12 volts going to the ignition. If you converted from points you may have a resistor inline.
Hey PanHead,
Where did you put your ground? I just got my 6al back from MSD I have had it in its box for the last 2 years they told me that the box doesnt have a shelf life and that it would smoke itself. The guy at MSD told me to ground the box to the motor and then make another ground strap from the motor to the frame. I still dont have any spark so they are thinking that when the box smoked itself it took out the distributor too. They also said it was important to have that thing wired straight to the battery on the positive side. If you figure yours out tell me what ya did i'm running out of ideas.

first i had it grounded to the body, then i went right to the frame and then a jumper between the frame and the engine....nothing. the wiring for the car is all new(no resistor)like i said in my post, i've swapped everything out(except the distrbuter) the tech at msd wasn't a whole lot of help,i'm going to call tomorrow and hopefully get someone else

well really, without trying to sound like too much of a jerk, if you tried another box AND another coils, and had the same problems, it HAS TO BE either the distributor or your wiring, and the wiring diagrams that came with my MSD were very straightforward.
