OK, so a recent search of the HAMB boards yielded a decent amount of results on each of these two IFS Kits, but nothing current, and no direct comparison.
I am trying to decide what to do with the front end of my 58 F100. I was seriously consdering a dropped axle from Sid, but by the time I pay for Disc Brakes and Power Steering upgrades, it's about the same cost as a new IFS kit. I don't want to do a clip, so the IFS seems like the best option based on my needs at this point.
I have pretty much eliminated the FatDude system at this point, based on so much negative press. The TCI and No Limit systems seem to be well respected. The TCI is basically a MII that has been redesigned for the wider frame, while the No Limit kit appears to be similar, but it uses a Camaro spindle instead.
Does anyone have any experience with both of these kits, so I can get a direct comparison? If not, I'll take any advice I can get on either of them. Give me the good, the bad and the ugly. I want to make sure I do this right the first time. If their is a better option than either of these two, I am all ears! I talked to El Polacko about doing something for me, but there is just no way I would be able to get my frame down to him to have him work his magic, so I am stuck with the next best alternative.
One more thing to consider, I want to reposition my crossmember about 2" to make my wheels more centered. Will this move impact my choice of kits?
