Does anyone have any info on a front suspension swap for '65 Chevy truck from a '75 Chevy truck?

I have heard that it bolts right on there and that there is not much to it/no brainer...

Anyone ever done this?
Web site links?
Magazine How to articles?

By the way my truck has a SBC 307 i have never owned one can anyne give some info on them ?
Like reliability or do 350/283/327 parts fit?
What can be interchanged or hop up info?

Thanks, TD

All but two bolts right straight up. Those 2 are close enough that you can enlongate the holes eggshaped with a drill bit.

Go over to 67-72chevytrucks.com and poke around the forums.

I put a 82 front end on my 66 and it's really not that bad of a swap. Some drilling and you're there.

I pulled the torsion bar front clip off my 62 and went up to a 65 coil-sprung crossmember and that was quite do-able too with some drilling.

These old Chevy trucks are so nice to work on and the parts are virtually everywhere.

Good luck. Let us hear how it worked out.

The 307 is just a small block Chevy...fairly reliable as such...but the factory cams were not hardened and wore out VERY quickly. Put a stock replacement 350 cam in it (TRW part #274) with new lifters and timing chain and you'll be happy with it!

All other sbc bolt-on speed parts and dress-up items are fair game for your 307, too.
