Hiyas,

To start with, I'm originally from WI now living in NY. I've traveled around a bit, living in VA, CA, and the UK. My fondness for older cars probably comes from my dad. I wouldn't call him an enthusiast - he would just by cheap, older cars and we'd spend a lot of time working on them. But we'd both agree the older cars had a lot more character and personality, though sometimes not the personality one would find desirable. We've had our share of lemons.

I stumbled my way onto this site due to my current project - a 1960 Ford F-100 Panel Truck. I bought this as a replacement to a 1998 F150 I just got rid of, which ran great but would no longer pass NY inspection due to a pesky "check engine" light. It left me being in need of a truck. I've always loved panel trucks, and I wanted to get something older that I knew how to work on. While looking for another pick-ups, I happened across the panel. I would have actually preferred one a bit older - I like the looks of the early 50's F100 with the rounded fenders and meaty grills, but the price was right and it actually ran. Running seemed pretty novel - just about every other panel I've looked at in my price range wasn't in a running condition. It's a bit rough around the edges, but it all looks workable.

Anyhow, that's me and my story thus far.
