have a early chev small block with no oil filter!! help with this block #ers 026I869

this is in a jeep and this jeep has been STUMPING ME sense i got it!!it was a miltary (cant find a vin plate or id) on it anywhere and it has had a Early small block put in it years ago!!runs GREAT!! now I have been pulling my hair out trying to decipher the block code/stamp/vin or whatever you want to call it (026I869T55F) --upon looking this over several times this is infact the # on the block no doubt!! now this has NO OIL FILTER LOCATED ANY WHERE on the motor! none ZIP Blewey!!!ZERO!!! and it has been this way it look like for years!! motor purrrs lots of torque no smoke no burps has a 2 barrell and has a crome air breather with flags on it((((CORVETTE))) EARLY ONE??? I dont know!! HELP WITH THIS PLEASE

Welcome in 1955 the chevy 265 cubic inch , the begining small block didn't have an oil filter cast in the block, the used a remote filter that mounted on the top front of the intake manifold. I think painted black if factory installed, blue/orange if dealer installed.
