I know I can get this stuff from McNichols but they have a $50 minimum. I only need 2 pieces 3" square to replace the screens in my horns. Anyone know to find this stuff in such small amount?

Maybe a Metal Salvage yard? I know of a place locally that just buys overruns and scrap from manfacturers in the area and resells it.

Don't know what size you are talking about, but Heating and Cooling outfits keep 3/8" mesh that is used to keep Birds out of air intakes.
Its not real common, but I know the company I work for has used stainless mesh in the past for the same purpose if the duct/intake is made from stainless. 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" are probably what most shops use.

I'm looking for something with about a .10" mesh size to keep the critters out of my horns (similar to those on a 34 ford).

Couldn't you buy a cheapie strainer from Wal Mart or something and trim it to size? A cooking application would probably not rust.
