So I have lurked for a whole week, and bought myself a project. I blame each and everyone of you for being so infectious in your enthusiasm for these older cars.
Okay, I am kidding. Sort of. I have always been attracted to older cars and their resurrection or reinvention. This horrible economy has given me the "opportunity" to have enough spare time to actually work on the hobby.
Today I went to Yuma to buy a car (from Phoenix). This car was billed as "perfect" other than a couple minor issues. Wow, I was dumb. Car trailer rented and hooked up, with money in hand. I spent the day driving there only to be disappointed by an over-zealous seller.
Since, I had the car trailer I found a GREAT project on the way home. It is a 1956 Chrysler Windsor. I bought the car with very little research or knowledge as to the depth of the market or parts availablity. The price and it's condition made the deal a no brainer, even if i replace everything with custom parts, hand made for me (well, maybe not) :)
Here are some pics. I will make a post in the general forums to document the process and get direct input. Sorry if i quote from this post slightly since i am tired. Been a long day for travel.
