I have always been car nuts and have a special place in my heart for high-boys....blame American Graffiti. I thankfully have a wife who has shared the passion for old cars and nostalgia for 20 years, she says "if a guy can't fix things, what good is he" LOL. I'd like to think I am good for at least one other thing ;) Anyway, I like to talk. I have tinkered with many cars over the years with a weakness for old Fords. We moved to PHX in 2000 from Tulsa and I have really missed my old car buds. In my circles, you're lucky if you can find a guy who knows how to check air in tires. When I left Tulsa I was dreaming of a track T with Bob Hindmans help. About 5 years ago I bought a 29 Special Coupe in running condition. My original intentions were to hop up the banger and go real old school. Through all of my excitement and by listening to my wifes suggestions too much I ended up buying a 32 frame. I had wanted to save the original running gear for a lakester project but finances forced me to sell. It has a new home under a roadster though, so all is not lost. I just wanted to thank all of the HAMBers for all of the advice and entertainment in a world that is short of what I consider "normal guys". My 29 sits in a beautiful frame from Squeak Bell at Kiwi Connection thanks to you. After a 4 year break due to health and family issues I am hoping for a trip around the block for my birthday on Oct. 6. I'll post a few pics of my previous projects. Thanks.

Previous neat cars--

63-T-Bird, nice driver, I was in high school, dad bought it to help a friend out of a crunch...I got to play with it for 6 mo.

51 F-1, my daily driver for 2 years, original except steelies with bigs and littles

66 Mustang-wifes toy

49 F-1, bought with 289 in it, just fixed all of the previous messes and had to let her go.

50-Cabover, had big dreams for her, but had to let her go-Still enjoy reliving the look on my brides face when she came home to see a 7 foot tall old truck in the drive!

63 Fairlane-This was a great one owner car, bride teased me about it being an old man car, then the next owner put Mustang wheels on it and she wanted it back...

60-F-100-A great truck, sw with big glass...all original, this was a sad sacrifice for out AZ move...had no choice.

51-Ford 9n-I guess this was my first true restoration.

63-Ranchero-had fun with her a bit, Mom was sick in OK and it was on Craigslist there so I flew out to see her before she passed and drove it home. Needed more word than I thought but was fun.

67-Ranchero-was fun, but also an example of why my wife shouldn't allow me to cruise craigslist on bonus day!
