Bought this unique little truck about three years ago 80 miles north of Rockford Illinois in Southern Wisconsin from a guy who had a little issue with "Sobriety"!!! He said he bought it in Northern Illinois, but a month later when i called him for some more information he told me it came from Kansas, so great, i got nothing. So lets see how good you all are and figure this out, the truck is unique enough that its a "One of a Kind"!!! My Avatar under my Member Name and the last picture is the truck after i finished it!!! I think it was built maybe late fifties early sixties, and showed signs of it being drag raced, note the rounded off door bottoms and the box rail tops, hope the pictures are clear enough, Thanks!!!

Hi, Neat truck. Did you put the headers on upside down? :) Just kidding.....
Those doors are very unique. I like it, a lot. Sorry I can't help you find the original builder, but this will bump your post.
You'd have more help if you introduce yourself. This is a cool place with tons of knowlege to be found.

Hey tomcorust...just another solicitor here. Nope don't know nothin about your truck other than it looks sweet. Welcome to Ryan's house. Do yourself a favor, and fill out an intro, treat this place as you expect to be treated. This is an awesome place, you probably cannot find a better one with as many members all trying to help eachother out....but being respectful gets respected. Yeah, there is a lot of shit that goes around...given by those who can take it. You just take some time to learn how this place works, and you will be suprised how incredible it is here. Now, to make this a real solicitation, do you have any parts you need for the truck? Good luck with the search.....

After you do your introduction,I suggest you move this to the main board for more exposure ...Welcome !
So you've changed the truck and now you want history... why?

So you've changed the truck and now you want history... why?
Why?...Why not? And how did he change it? I don't see much changed at all...except the installation of a Hemi. Looks like he even used the same caps. I would think that truck could be easily identified by those doors with the sweeping bottoms.

Yeah, and then he cries on the other thread he started that no one helped him... if you want the respect the history and give a shit about it, what's wrong with the flathead?

You're a hard man, zman. I also noticed a bit of shall we say, "inpropriety" in his second thread, but I wouldn't say he was "cryin"...give the guy a break. And it's not sacrilege that he changed from a flathead to a hemi. Most here would call that an upgrade! Peace, zman...dude...pal. :D

LOL, I'm still looking for the "solicitor".... I think the hemi is an upgrade but if I were to worry about the history I'd be more inclined to leave it as it was and maybe just go over it...

My opinion is ,History is history,
As soon as you change a car that has history ,
It is not original and the history is lost ,

Dont sweat it ,Welcome and I personally like your ride ,Just enjoy and negative opinions can also be good .We have a mixed bunch here ,Ive got slamned for building a kit car ,Its not ,I bought a fiberglass shell of a 29 with no braces or floor .Unlike some of these guys that brag that they bought this guys shifter and this guys carb, ...,
I built a custom frame and scratch build alot ,I dont buy everything ,Some I have to admit .So welcome

Thanks John, If you notice the two dead Nailheads on the trailer, thats how dead that Flathead was and it was put in there for looks only. The Hemi i had on a static display and started it up in the shop, that got boaring so now its a rolling static display. Controversy, ya gotta love it!!!

I was 2800 miles into a loooong road trip with my GMC when the starter was giving me fits. I stopped into a buddies who had a good supply of old parts and he fixed me up.
While I was under the hood, I heard the unmistakable sound of an open exhaust V8 rumble up and it was this truck. It sounded great!
I don't remember the owner - but I do remember the truck. I wouldn't kick it out of the garage for dripping oil.

Why!!! Why Not!!! Other then the "Moss" that fell off the truck it's pretty much as i found it, it showed signs of being Drag Raced. The twisted off pinion, the old engine mounts and half round cut outs on the cowl lined up almost dead on with the "Hemi/Zoomie" combination, so Dude thats why!!!
