I guess I'd be considered an "old fart", since I'm 83, but my Dad was a Ford salesman back when the flathead was new and I guess it rubbed off on to me.
I've had two flatheads in my life, a 1936 cabrolet, which I had to trade off for a used 1942 Ford convertable, which in turn was used as a trade-in for a new 1955 Ford. With the exception of a 1932 Huppmobile that I had in high school, all of my many cars have been Fords.
The new Fords certainly have newer features but the old flatheads have a nostalgic attraction for me.
