what is with these frickin read receipts when you send and recieve a PM. it's just another annoying window to click on. what is realy the point of them anyway? i don't mean to sound like i'm bitching but the wife is on the phone in the other room talking WAY TOO FUCKING LOUD and it's making me irritable, plus it's distracting. A.D.D. and all, ya know.

anywho, while i'm on this page-----SHIT! i totaly forgot what else i was gonna say. DAMN IT. i need a beer.......

so. is there a way to turn off the read receipts so i don't recieve them or get asked if i want to send one??

i just wish that option did'nt exist. what benefit does it do you to know if someone has read your PM yet??? if they have'nt replied just knowing that they read it is'nt gonna change anything.

i don't know. i just get alot of PMs and it's annoying to have to hit that buttom every time i read or try to send a PM i know it sounds stupid but i figured if i don't bring it up i have no grounds to complain about it.

I wish the option didn't exist also. Just make it to when the pm is read that a receipt is made.

I wish the option didn't exist also. Just make it to when the pm is read that a receipt is made.I believ RYAN is looking at killing it somehow or at least make it default to not send it, you actually would have to choose to send one....

If everyone would hit "cancel" when sending a PM, they would go away.

The default is "OK" and since everyone wants everything to be "OK" they just hit it.

That help?

Super annoying, I agree.

thanks Rashy. good to know i'm not the only one annoyed and a fix is on the way.
i always hit the "cancel" button but it seems that nobody that ever send me a PM does. they all hit the "ok" button. i assumed it was just an unconcious response.

Well, I can't say a fix is on the way.

But I know if RYAN still loves us, he'll spend all his extra free time figuring it out!;)

P.S.

Your tag line should read...

It's an inherent problem with this style of message board. Moparchat is the same way.
Annoying yes.

Apparently you've never heard yourself talking on the phone then, huh?
