why can't i ask a question in tech archive

all archives are locked. most of the threads have been editted to only include useful info. try pm'ing the original poster or anyone in the thread who might be able to answer your question. or pm a tech moderator who might be able to move the thread out of the archives temporarily if he deems your question might further supply knowledge to the original thread.
