I recently purchased what was called a 1929 Genuine Ford Roadster Super Delux Shay. I was told that the Shay has 10 Vin Numbers, and the Ford has 11 Vin numbers. That was easy, but now, My (Shay) has 11 numbers. So how does this figures to be either, as mine has the fiberglass body and the Pinto Engine.

Any help I can get on this would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim

Could be someone tried to pass your car off as a Genie Old Ford by making up some numbers or using those ALWAYS for sale old titles to get something registered, when in fact it is a late model reproduction.

A Shay is a Shay - no disputing a fiberglass body and a pinto 4 banger.

It's a Shay regardless of 10 or 11 digets.
