WOW! This is Killer!

This is a PENCIL drawing of Ms.Metal's Kustom 53' Chevy. She can do some amazing things with metal. She also makes kustom car and hotrod accessories, and jewelry using automotive items. She fabricated all the kustom parts on her 53 and made it her own. The car is awesome non the less to see in person.

The drawing is 11"x16" in pencil. I will have a limited run of prints made that will be signed by myself and Ms.Metal with kustom matting. Email me if interested. nategrice@gmail.com

I had some serious free time on my hands, so I actually painted some of my OWN stuff. This is one of my bass guitars, the one I play most, and it's case. I still have two more heads to paint, but this is as far as I got. Notice, my Thunderbird is now LOUDER, 'cause it goes all the way to "ELEVEN". Great stuff so far guys!

This is the first time I have ever attempted to contribute to the Friday Art Show. I used to do some pencil drawings a few years ago and I thought I would try it again and I started on one last night that is HAMB friendly. Not quite finished with this one, but you get the idea. I wanted to play off of the traditional still life, i.e. bottle, cloth, grapes... and do a garage still life with tools, shop rag and beer can. (I guess it could be called "steel life")
What'ya think? Should I just stick to painting cars? Thought I might try to branch out a bit.

Looks a bit like the ol' tonal painters of the 30's. We had one in Melbourne named Clarice Beckett. She'd carry her oil painting gear around in a shopping trolley, and then finish the canvas at the kitchen table. She had no studio.
She also did the best car painting i've ever seen- 'Motor Lights, Dalgety Road'. She painted of suburban stuff, poles, cars, whatever- and she died of pnuemonia after getting caught in a storm while painting.
