I've been lurking for almost a year and enjoying every minute of it, but was hesitant about joining because I didn't actually build my own car. Seems like I have been in love with old cars my entire life, but felt like it wasn't feasible to have one unless you are either rich or know how to do all of the work yourself. Since I don't fall into either category, I didn't really think I'd ever have one. It finally got to the point that I just couldn't stand it any longer and I bought an old klunker of a '60 4-door Bel Air. Even though I didn't build it myself, I have had a ball deciding what I want done to it and watching the changes being made. I have learned a lot during my lurking period, and have had the pleasure of meeting a couple of HAMB members. Most of my car work has been done by Okiecockfighter and all but one of my tattoos were done by McPhail. I'm crazy about many of the cars that I've seen on here, and hope to have the opportunity to meet some of you at VLV this year. I look forward to learning more and plan to do a lot more reading than posting. Cathy H.

Thanks for the welcome. I think I figured out how to do the pics. Although I love tasteful paint jobs, I tend to go for the wild and gaudy when it comes to my own cars, so I know I'm going to take some crap, but that's ok. Cathy

Nice! Welcome to the HAMB, Cathy. What's Fineye?
Since I had the Flyin' Eye on the trunk, I wanted to get the license plate FLYNEYE, but it was taken; therefore, I went with FLINEYE.

FLINEYE, not FINEYE... I must have misread it. Very cool.

Sharp Belair. Welcome from a 60 Chevy guy in Illinois.20 miles East of Tulsa?
You must be close to me.
I've seen that car before, maybe Dewey last year?
I dig it, 18 of my favorite colors!
Welcome to the HAMB.
When the lonely guys start asking for nudie pics, and they will, just politely decline.
Nothing kills a HAMB career like posting pics of the fun parts.
Okiecockfighter huh? I think Dustin meant to name himself OkieSwordFighter.

I drive it a lot so you may have seen it around Tulsa. I wasn't at the Dewey show last year, but I dropped in at the Deadtown show, so you may have seen it there. I saw your cars and loved them. They're among the car pics I have on my screensaver. You can't blame Dustin if the car is overly colorful. He had done a couple of paint jobs for me before, so by the time we got to this car, he could just about read my mind. As the matter of fact, I called his wife one day and told her that I had forgotten to tell him that I wanted some lightning bolts on the trunk, if he could work them in. She went out to the shop to tell him and he was already putting them on there.

Tried to block that day out of my mind.
Dustin is good people.
So, where is 20 miles East of Tulsa?

I live in Coweta and work in Tulsa. 20 miles is just a guess. I've never really paid any attention to exactly how far it is.

Thanks for the nice comments about the paint job. Believe it or not, it's actually much wilder looking in person. There's a lot of detail that doesn't show up in the pics. For instance, there is a slightly darker shade of pinstriped designs within some of the flames. No, I'm not related to Suzi. WOW!!! I just saw your cars on another thread. They are too cool for words. I've already pulled those pics over to my screensaver.
