Long time lurker, recently signed up because i got the itch for something more traditional.
Currently own 5 Oldsmobiles but all newer than 71 (71 Cutlass, 83 Hurst Olds, 2 Auroras - one with a Northstar and an Alero).
Starting to gather parts for an older Olds build (already have a 330, muncie, several intakes and some sweet M/T covers that werent punched for a push in breather). I am also being open minded about going to a 394. I already have a 330 and a 455 sitting on stands in the garage but i could be swayed.
Have my heart set on a 63 or 64 F-85 with a straight axle, tunnel ram (if i switch to big block) or dual quad poking through and a 4 speed.
I also work on Modified Asphalt Race cars. Chassis and body fabrication as well as pit crew @ the races. I know there are a few open wheel fans on this board. I've also done some Design work in CAD for the race car.
Plan to build the straight axle myself and just make a fun car to drive around the street with. Maybe hit the track once or twice a year. Waiting for the right body to come along.
I have some vintage parts i am in search of and also need some help ID'ing and I wanted to say hello before i hit the forums.
Im a self taught photoshop hack and at some point i will post up whats currently in my head.
Big fan of the Milltown show (i live in the next town over).
