Fellas this by no mens is a rant nor a witch hunt for drama, but simply an obsevation of mine right or wrong. Here lately i have been going through the shop trying to get rid of some of the clutter piled up and in the way stuff i will never need.I must add that some of the crap i got i have no freakin ideal what it is worth,so i throw a number on and see where it goes.I have noticed that regardless if i am a little out of line i always seam to get a fair offer here.On the other hand when i post on cl or epay i have recieved some of the most lowballing offers you could amagine to the point i want to yank the add to simply not have to deal with the bullshit at all.

I guess here it is more of a true rodder to rodder thing than anything else..It is really a darn good thing to have a good source like the classifieds here to go to....not to mention it's free. And not have to put up with 99% of the bullshit......JUST SAYING!!

Time for a coldie at the local pub.....Good Day

That's because alot of the bidders on those other sites are just looking to flip stuff for a profit. Most, and I mean most,HAMBers are looking for parts for their projects.

I just listed an Edmunds manifold here and on Hotrodders.com. First offer came from someone out of the blue -- direct to my e-mail address. Odd wording made me a little suspicious so I tracked the guy down -- to Nigeria. He wanted my address but wouldn't give his. Told me his freight agent would be picking it up so the address didn't matter. Let's see, a Nigerian bank draft should take about two weeks to bounce... When I asked what car he was going to install it on the correspondence stopped.

It's like a fishing trip. The H.A.M.B is the private lake, stocked with trout. Craigslist is the ocean full of sharks. OK, nobody here is a trout but you get my drift.

I like the amount of cars and parts available here! I have bought late model drivers from Craigs list, but really haven't found anything for my old stuff. I have watched things listed on evilbay and see them sell and then show up again listed for twice the money a few weeks later. (I'm into Buicks so the community is small!) The HAMB looks like a great place for a decent deal and great information!
