hey ya'll.
my name is lew. i am from portland, oregon.
i recently bought a 62 c10 after the old lady's car was totalled by a drunk.
the truck had been in the same family it's whole life. passed from grandfather to uncle and then to the previous owner. about ten years ago the guy did a restoration in the barn, the 235 6 cyl was rebuilt about five years ago. he was really adamant that the truck go to someone who was gonna take good care of her.
i don't have a whole lot of experience working on cars. i've done little junk, changing starters/radiators/front seal on the tranny on a 71 chevy pu. and a little other stuff. but never spent much time around sixties stuff. a friend told me about the h.a.m.b. and that i might be able to get some good advice from some knowledgable folks here. no big plans yet for the truck. just getting it solid and hopefully killing some rust here soon. maybe get the steering a little tighter and tighten up the three on the tree a bit. it feels a bit sloppy. thanks. awesome forum.

Hello,
My name Is M A I once built a Porcshe 911T from the ground up but once completed i had a child and had to sell the car, Now i cant afford the big toys so i have move onto the smaller rc type cars. A noteable auto that im working on is a Ofna DM1 1/7 scale car its a biggin, what brings me here is the problem of fitting a larger body on a smaller frame. i need to loose 2" from the body but dont want to comprimse the integrity of the car also. Ive done a couple of chops before and they have come out great but this particular car does not seem like it will be a straight cut across the car. I have been slicing the car in half and sandingf forward or backward to scale down. This time the roof shape will not allow me to just cut the car in half. should i chop the roof and then cut the car in half? get the right size and then sand down the window pillars to match the new size???
