HEI Wiring

Hey! I'm the new guy on the block. Need some info. on HEI wiring. Pulling six cylinder out of 68 GMC pickup and putting in a ZZ4 350 Need some help.

Pretty simple. Take the wire that used to go from the harness to the coil and follow it back to where it goes into the fusebox. Run a new wire from there to the "Bat" post on the HEI distributor cap. You're done. The reason I say to run a new wire is that the original point type ignition wire is most likely a resistor wire which won't give you a full 12 volts to the distributor. Easy to spot on a Chevy. They are covered with white cloth.
