It's been a while since I've posted on the art show. I am eager to share this one with y'all. This is probably the most relevant post I've made on an artshow thread involving my leather work.
new wallet made for PaulY in Great Britain. He waited a very long time and put up with me for much longer than he should have. I hope that whe he gets it; he'll feel it was all worth it.
Chocolate brn Shark skin with a gold, patent leather HAMB logo. Brn Kangaroo pockets and a psychedelic Cherry Blossom silk liner. Two Sterling silver horseshoe snaps. Comes in a hair on, cowhide storage pouch.

Great stuff this week! I'm really digging on Spoggie's and plummad's watercolor.
Here's an illustration for a car being built by a HAMBer. My Dad's shop is doing a lot of the work on the car, and we're still working on placement of some of the logos, numerals, etc. Here's the original sketch as well as the "nearly" finished illustration.
Look for the real car at an LSR course near you in 2010!

Hey dude, nice rendering!
- just my 2 cents but i think the car would really pop if you tone down that backrground vinnette. The car is rendered really nicely, but the tone on tone drowns out the sketch. if the background box was lighter, or gray or something, i think you'll find it acentuates the car more.
very nice work form everryone! :D

I've been crazy busy, so I haven't been able to post anything in a while. Here's a concept sketch that I'll turn into a finished piece soon. (I hope!) I'm going to draw it pretty large for a pencil drawing, maybe 40" wide. I want it to give you the sensation of speed and being alone in a quiet, vast and desolate space.

As always, another GREAT friday art show! I recently finished up the T-shirt design for my local clubs car show next June.
I shot the reference photos at this last summers Goodguys show here in Des Moines.
- It just doesn't feel right being done this far ahead, usually I'm scrambling like mad to get it done so we still have time to get it printed before the show :D

Some amazing work on here!
People have been on me for years to do some prints of my work but it never seemed I had anything worth doing. SO, I dicided to work on some dedicated pieces. Here's the first one.
First, The Sketch:

And the finished rendering ready for print:

Great show as usual !!
Here is one that is almost done for a guy at work.
Its his Dad's 32 he has owned since '58. They want to see what it will look like in red. These are not the wheels I would pick - but its not my call.
Enjoy :D
The '61 ia a rendering of my wagon right after I got it - what I wanted at the time - It will still be like this all but the cowl hood - I know - I'm slow...

Love it Phred! Forty, top notch as usual. Love the sketches and the helmet and Acme's sculptures and just about everything. Great work and thanks for sharing your talent.

Been playing with plastic this week, and remembering how much I love sanding.
Bonneville Streamliner, 1/32 scale, 6 1/2" long. Might cast some in Pewter.

As I said before Ger: It's a great read. We've talked about being published and doing interviews and the trouble we sometimes have with 'em, but you certainly did great on this one!
By the way, that Charger you did is a great piece. Very well detailed.
Speaking of Chargers...
Jigger - I never noticed the bodyline from the lowest fake 'scoophole' in the door to the back of the Charger. Thanks! ;-) Nice perspective.

Spinman - Nice rack! ;-) I'd like to see a pic of the whole bike though...
Are you on ratrodbike.com? (edit: ofcourse you are! haha...)
Sinclair - Thanks! Your Firebird looks great. Nice graphic touch.
Joanna - I like the color in the chrome.
KScooter - The more I look at YOUR '56, the more I like those 'inbetween Chevs'... Great job!
Phred - Thanks! ...and very likewise ofcourse. I love your work. Do you have a website of some sort were we can find more of your stuff?
Cool stuff this week, again, guys! Thanks for the shout-outs and pm's!
