Classified Thread Ratings

What's with people rating classified ads? If you like the ad, great. If you don't like it, great. Why rate someone's ad? I know I'm high on my price. That's what offers and negotiations are for.

Unless............Oh, maybe my grammar and sentence structure are poor and some of you are teachers. Must be it.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I think the whole idea of rating threads with little stars is kind of goofy..Classifieds or otherwise.

it kinda makes me mad when somebody rates my ad, and doesn't have the nuts to even post on it why (and I hate the fact that you can't see WHO rated my stuff). These jag off are taking money out of my pocket. If it's too high of a price, PM me, and we'll discuss. If my stuff is junk to you, move on, somebody else might need it...

I had to go see the ad. You're sure to get at least 18,000 out of it :)

Ratings are just the way it is. They're there to point out the really special threads that are definitely worth looking at. I'm guessing that 1 or 2 star threads gain the attention of the mods to see if they're needed.

Per the classified rules about the only post that is allowed in a classified ad is.........
"I'll take it ! "

ANYTHING ELSE like (questions, picture requests, trade proposals and price opinions which if you aren't a buyer than the price doesn't matter does it ? You're just stirring the pot for me to jump in) SHOULD BE PRIVATE MESSAGED.

By private messaging, you keep it ONE ON ONE BETWEEN BUYER AND SELLER and not bump other ads down the pages, and get more fresh new ads at the Top of the pages longer.

As far as ratings as a Moderator I don't look at it.

I clean things up when you guys complain.

Box at the lower left corner says "report" - hit it if guys post in the classifieds with anything else than " I'll take it" and the report gets sent to me and fellow Moderators.

It isn't hard to follow guys.
Those who choose to ignore how things are set up around here and rack up complaints from other sellers, just build up infraction points and when the points get high enough - poof gone !

I hope this clears some things up.
