I just finished a website I have designed and implemented for Lebeef Kustom Metal Works last week.
This is not traditional art in any way... but since I have been able to mix my passion for photo, design and php I guess you can call it modern day art :)

Check out the site here, and be amazed of the nice work LeBeef does too, he's a metal artist from the deep woods of Sweden: www.lebeefkustoms.com

TGIF Fellas!
I finished up an ad for Kustoms Illustrated/ Poster for Torque Fest this week:
http://car-n-art.com/hamb/VTF%20poster%20art%202%20ONLINE.jpg
This one focuses on Customs both old and new (well, kinda all new in the sense that The Hirohata Merc and The Blue Danube are clones) The poster design is inspired by old car magazines like Hot Rod, Rod & Custom, Hop Up, etc. It's 11" x 17" There is a TON of detail in this and impossible to see it all online so I did a few blow ups to show some.
http://car-n-art.com/hamb/VTF%20poster%20art%202_1_4%20detail.jpg
ABOVE: this is 1/4 the detail level. You can start to see the dot matrix halftones of the design if you look very carefully.
http://car-n-art.com/hamb/VTF%20poster%20art%202_1_1%20detail.jpg
Here is a 1 to 1 detail level of the same parts as above and it really starts to show all the details that I got into on this poster. I can't wait to see the printed version!

vintagetorquefest.com (http://vintagetorquefest.com)

Also, I just finished up a logo for B & B Towing in Bossier City, LA. They have a couple of tow trucks being converted over to COE on modern machinery below and wanted an Art Deco like logo to fit. After several variations of it, the final product is this:
http://car-n-art.com/hamb/BB_on_black.jpg

Enjoy the weekend. I've gotta do a brake job on my truck now to get it ready for the marathon trip to Texas to pick up my '29 speed coupe body. I'm excited!

These are AutoCAD blocks that I have either edited or created. I think it is art???

The 36 at the top was solely created by me.
The coupe below is hevily modified from the block I found (based the wheels off of a Radir).
The Buick is a four door with shaved rear doors.
The Impala was spawned from the idea of making an ElCamino out of a four door car.
The Vette is out of scale.

Nothing great I just wanted to participate.

Great show so far this week! A few of my favorites:

GaryC - Cool idea with the Vettester, beautifully rendered as usual.
57Bob - Great colors on that shot!
timebombkustoms - Love the cyclops Frankenstein!
DouG - The clock this week is too cool. Are you making this stuff to sell?
widewhitewalls - Very nice work, and great attention to detail & texture on the poster.

I actually have something a little different (for me) to post. This was for a local club's t-shirts. They wanted a Rat Fink style with their viking theme...

That's funny looks a lot like the pencil drawing I did this summer. Sorry about the blue look, its from the scanner. I'm not Tillrock either but you only get better with practice. Well, I have been an admirer of the Friday art show for some time. Never really had too much to add. Got my welder set up this month and tested it out on some junk. Came up with this bike which I am really happy with how it turned out.

Great Show so far. I'm always amazed by the talent here. It's been too long since I posted anything. Here a little something that I just finished. There's still a bit of redness in the photos as this was taken minutes after the last sitting.

http://i406.photobucket.com/albums/pp144/210044770/Artwork/outside.gif

http://i406.photobucket.com/albums/pp144/210044770/Artwork/inside-1.gif

Tattoo by myself, I came up a majority of the design but had to throw a few things in there that the wearer requested...such as the fuzzy dice, etc.

The letters "MLH" and the large star above the ankle were already there. I did touch up the lettering, but left the large star untouch, as it was done by the wearer

Good Saturday morning to you all.
Man, amazing stuff in here again. I'm going to throw in a few stuff: a '34 3-window I have drawn and inked a few years ago, has the Munster Coach type injector stacks; and an Ed Roth ad I found in a old June '64 HRM for Schlitz and grins (dig the rustic yellowed edges in the paper of the page).

First thing I've done in 10 days after getting the stitches out of my finger. I came up with the Harley Davidson logo for the tank. The striping at the bottom of the fender goes around an emblem thats not there... You dig

Another great Friday Art Show!As I haven't been photographing much of anything I've been painting lately, thought I'd throw in something from the past. This was done in 1974 and a little background before the pics.

My friend Charlie Burrows has built numerous cars and motorcycles and his son Chris is following in his footsteps. They work out of their small shop in back of their house in Reading Massachusetts and now do mostly bobbers.

Charlie's garage never had heat in it so he used to build his bikes in his living room during the winter. One year he decided to build a T roadster and so room was made an construction began in the living room. When it reached the point that he wanted flames painted on it he called me up to do the job.

I laid out the flames and as the base color was enamel we elected to use it to do the flames as well.I had just finished doing an enamel flame job on a 56 Ford truck so wasn't too concerned.I learnewd the trick of heating the unthinned paint on a hot plate and spraying it out.Blends great and dries very quickly.

The yellow base for the flames gave us a little grief but we managed to straighten it out and blend the other colors over with no problems.A white stripe outline completed the job.

Unfortunately enamel leaves an overspray that is nearly impossible to remove as Cheryl(Charlie's wife)found out.She still is mad at me to this day every time she is cleaning and finds more of it.

Anyway that is the story and hear are the pics. The first one is me(a hundred lbs. lighter)laying out the flames. The cigarettes are long gone.

The last pic is of another T I did for a good friend of mine.It was the first car I striped that would appear in a magazine(Hot Rod Nov.1963)and was striped in 1961.A LONG story behind that one!

Haven't posted for a while. My car is away and my surfboard in play. Here is a touch-up. Previous owner had a Celtic circle with a wave inside. I had to personalize it.
