Has anyone here actually done a chevy into stude engine swap? The weird steering layout makes me nervous about doing it cold.Really open to thoughts or experience....

What kind of stude? I am into the Champions, seen SBC in lots of em, But I prefer mine with Big Block Fords, Econoline strait front axles and a nosebleed stance. Then you don't have to worry about that crazy stock front suspention. But GASSERs ain't for everone..

Mines gota sbc, but it's clipped. Next one's gonna get a frame swap. And a sbc.

what kind of stude...that makes a huge difference. I wouldn't worry to much as long as you have a rear sump pan...if I can squeeze the stude v8 and all the super charger shit in there I know you could put an sbc in it...

I've said it before, I'll say it again. The s-10 frame worked slicker than a greased kitten in my '50 Champion. Then I just made up some motor mounts for the SBC. the only interference I had was with the S-10 front steer hitting the sheetmetal, not bad, just should be aware of it. PM me for any more questions....
