After stressing for years about loosing all my photos of my 49 ford coupe, I sudenly remembered I had saved a lot of old negatives. In going through the big metal cannister of photos for the shoebox images [which I found!] I came across these snapshots of my old 32 ford coupe. The first one is how I found it in my buddy, Rich's miniscule side yard in Council Bluffs,Iowa. The car had been a roundy-round racer until '57.

It came with an extra cowl, top and lower panel below the deck lid, which wasn't there. It also came with a stock model A frame. The rear window had been cut our for better visibility at the track. Here it is sitting patiently in my back yard, waiting for parts.

I found a rear view of the work I did on my old 50 chevy sedan delivery too. 50 Pontiac rear bumper with part of a 50 chevy front bumper over-rider welded on the top of it...50 Pontiac tailights too. Man, that was a rusty bumper! Took many hours of grinding and filling to get this good and it ain't perfect. My 56 Poncho Safari in front...

The missus came home from garage saleing one day with a whole box of house paint tint. I was gonna primer my daily driver 68 chevy pickup in light gray but the tint made it a "speckely" lookin blue. My buddys began calling it the robin's egg....

Your old coupe is more than my talents could handle, but there was a "driver" in similar condtion at this year's Des Moines Good Guys.

I was able to find 42 images of my shubox coupe as negatives. Can't wait to have 'em developed. Somehow, I had lost my complete album of shubox photos. I promise I won't post all 42 photos of the damn coupe.

Hey Steve! You didn't recognise that 32 at Des Moines? It was our very own "32 highboy" cruising the grounds. Yeah, it's a bit rough but he'll slap it into shape eventually..
Here it is at Americruise this year..my old 51 ford vicky engine is in it and the headers off it went on the Rocky 33.

This car was also a local racer. Steve, you may be refering to the numbered 32 racer at Desmoines with the two old fucks cruising it around the grounds...had chicken wire windows and crash bars..all the old races stuff..was also running a flatmotor

So Rocky, do you have any idea how many cars you have built over the years? Just wondering....

I dunno but I have a list of cars I've owned. Some of them I built, some I just drove awhile and some never even made it home. Most of 'em I drove. There were like 112 on the list but I need to update the list again soon. The last time I did, was about 10 cars ago.
I dig how all those old photos are in the same driveway... and ive seen it in person.
Say... I'm wondering if you'r ok in OMAHA? Maybe we need to start planning another party to keep you focused on the present and not the past.
You up for a christmas shin dig?
If you want... you can drive my shoebox untill spring. I cant afford 2 cars while im in school...

Tuck....that's a huge show of generosity, on your part but your pretty little coupe would be severly damaged by the tons of road salt used here in the winter. And it'd have to sit on the street in the cold. No thanks. The Porsche and the Rocky Goodtime Van [tm] are able winter beaters. I originally bought that porsche for a winter beater because it is supposed to go really good in the snow and has a heluva heater/defroster. And it was cheap as hell at $1700. The Porsche bodys have a thick zink galvanized coating that has protected it from any rust so far.
Everything else is ok here.....thanks.

Oh, yeah. Here's the winter beater now, after Grimlock put his pinstripe brushes to it.....
