Hey Nick
Why don't you post that F-100 you did awhile back?
That was a really smooth concept.

P/s air brush over hand drawn templates. Also p/s multiply option selected to let "sketch" show through.

Porknbeaner is referring to the betsy brown '53 ford a top. It has flared fenders which has "ground effect" side pipes.

I'll play...
I've posted this before I think. It's one of my favs lately.
http://www.aresstudios.com/sedsmall.jpg
Did it in pen and ink on illustration board. Scanned into the 'puter and colored it up in photoshop. Did some block style shading using 10 percent black and white and the lasso tool. Added some pinstriping, and some background and couple words. A little more graphic than realistic but I think it came out cool.

Thanks.
No, unfourtunately, I'm stuck in a cube right now.
I'm not a professional artist yet. I would love to be though. Have done some paid work but not much. Looking forward to doing more soon. The HAMB is great inspiration for me. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
However, the term starving artist is around for a reason so its off to work for the master in my cube. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Here's a few that I did awhile ago.The first 3 are 1-Shot on aluminum and the others are fine marking pen on paper.I did about two hundred of these over one winter while recuperating. Not much time involved in them:the painted ones about an hour(wet on wet)and the drawings about a half hour.

Great topic! Some really nice artwork on here. Most of my recent stuff is done in Illustrator, then I take it in to photoshop to doll it up a bit. I render the car pretty much the same way if I was drawing it in pencil. I love the flexibility to change colors, interiors, rims, grills ect.

Wish I was more up on the computer arts. I still do mine the old fashioned way, hand painted with Talons drawing ink on cold press. Damn you guys are good.

Hell Yeah! This Post is great! All of the Hamb artists I admire, become inspired, & learn from have posted! Lets see If I can rember all my HAMB ART Idols from this post....n8inks (got name rightthis time! By the way your work is KILLER!!) ..BrianPettit (love yur work, like ta meet ya sometime)...Tuck...surf monkey..Empire...Django...Sean72 (Kick-ass Comp Techniques!!)
As for K-member, your comment about drawin by hand is no problem. Your stuff has a kool feel to it. Besides the Computer is tricky, Many. Many times the work gets stiff, sterile, & common. A "real" illustrator begins the work by hand & imports into comp for enhancing...This is how the the guys on here maintain there individual style..
Thanx Guys...NICK http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Car art need to be pictures, drawings and paintings, or is any art about cars OK?
Here is one I'm putting up for a HAMB auction after we move next week. All steel and hand formed. 9" long, 4" wide and 3 3/4" high. Gene
