I've got this F-1 I don't really need...I'm probably not gonna do anything with it, and I could use the cash for other stuff...

The bad:
It does have some rust...It needs patches on the lower parts of the body/floor,
-there are some rust spots on the firewall, and back of the cab.
-The top of the cowl has a lot of pitting.
-running boards are shot
-front sheetmetal is pretty bad too.

The good stuff:

even though it needs some rust fixed, it's still really solid for what you normally find around here. I've got several of these F1's and the cab on this one is probably the best one I've had.

-the top looks pretty straight
-the back of the cab is staight and not all beat in (it is pushed in a little at the bottom though)
-I took the plug out of the steering box and it looks real good (not all dried up)
-the dash and inside of the doors look pretty solid (bottoms of doors have rust though)

So, it does need some work, but overall I think it's very buildable...

It looks like someone started to put another motor in it at one time, but I guess never finished. There is NO engine/trans.

NO title.

The truck rolls and steers easy. One of the tires leaks down pretty quick, but it'll hold air long enough to load it.

Here's a few pics of it...I can get more pictures of whatever you want to see on it...

I held back replying to your post but I don't see anything worth the $475. You'd be better off taking off the few parts left, if they still are in decent condition, and selling them off and scrapping the rest.

The sheet metal is way too rough to use but the steering column, front shock mounts and the door mechanisms might bring you a couple of hundred bucks. Dash parts, brake drums and hardware, if they're still usable might be able to bring a few more bucks. Scrap the rest.

I hate to see any usable sheet metal go to the scrapper but this thing has seen it's day and from you pictures the sheet metal is too far gone for anything. This is coming from a person living in the upper Midwest where we'll pretty much will try to save any rusty hulk, up here you wouldn't get any more than scrap for it,IMHO.

Thanks for your opinion... I'll have my secretary file that under CS
