dash knobs

Do you have Machinery junkyards in austria?I got some great old glass warning light lenses and knobs of a control panel for some old industrial machine from a yard full of industrial scrap.
really have to get a digi cam soon.....

"Cat eye" shooter size glass marbles. They're about 15mm diameter I think.
Drill them with a diamond drill and glue them on, or glue an insert in them with a set screw or threads, whatever your application needs.

A friend of mine used to be into restoring vintage radios and TV sets. I went to an antique radio show with him and lots of guys there had boxes of cool looking plastic, wood and metal knobs in all sizes, shapes and colors.

You might try seeking out a radio show, or hitting flea markets to rob some cool knobs off of vintage 40s, 50s or 60s radios for something unique!!

Not very original but I really like the 49-50 Ford knobs. Simple clean chrome balls. They look cool on a 30's dash.

We used to get stuff from hardware stores. Might try some get some knobs there.

Another place to look would be your local bike shop. I still build BMX bikes for fun, and the local bike shops here sell custom valve stem caps with everything from bullets, to skulls, pistons, dice and balls! Just another thing to keep in mind!!!
