I have had more problems getting this intro posted. A reflection of my age. I started buying chevies when I was 13. Buy for $13.00 or $20.00, fix'em up and sell, or part out and junk'em.
I have always wanted a hot rod, but ended up with a stocker. My 39 Chevy would be a good one to cut up, put in mustang front end, 9" rear, 4 speed, etc. But here she sits as stock as can be. I can't cut her up. Runs too good.
My next one will be a 5 bar chevy pickup rat rod. Maybe channelled and chopped.
Down here by the border, some of us take our rides over to Mexico for body work. This car was done 2 years ago. Heriberto took all the paint off, took the car apart, fixed the dents, blocked, primed, base and clear coated her, and charged me $1300.

Looks good, too bad they aren't that good and cheap over my border in Canada! Welcome!

Thanks, It is pretty incredible that prices are so reasonable. Heriberto uses dupont paint and it seems to be exactly the same as you buy here. I know of about 10 cars he has done. No peeling, cracking, fading, etc. Of course these cars are all stored out of the weather.

It is stock. Still has the old 216 mill. I bought some fenton cast iron headers from Patrick's Antique Auto in Casa Grande. Put glass packs and 2 inch pipes. It really snarls considering it only has 85 h.p.

Beautiful car, you shouldn't cut it and shouldn't build a Rat Rod.
