I've got a '42 Continental Coupe up for grabs if anyone is interested. They're very rare. 200 built in '42 and only 19 survivors officially. I think mine makes that 20. It's already got a V8 with auto transmission built into it but its a bad restoration with a bad paint job but it would make an evil custom SO SO RARE!!!
Here's a picture.
By the way the car is in Europe but shipping is no problem.

That would make a WICKED COOL custom....somebody needs to chop it and cut the hell out of it...piss off the caviar crowd and build a killer kustom at the same time!!

Make me an offer but it's gonna cost more than a Merc. There are only 20 left and they are all in private collections, museums or long term Lincoln collectors have them. This car is a 42 and has the more attractive grill. The post war cars have an ugly over complicated front end treatment. This would make a wicked custom. Chopped, with suicide doors, and purple pait it would be unique.

Hi Rainer,

There was a guy that had one in Des Moines last year with a late model Ford Driveline in it (I think). He was asking 8 grand for it. I thought it was ugly. To each their own I guess! I think it was was the same model. I didn't pay too much attention to it because, like I said, I thought it was ugly. A buddy of mine bought a 46 convertible that ran and drove for 2500 bucks in good shape. I prefer the Zephyrs. They look cool!

I bet restorers are willing to pay more than kustomizers for that one. Not prime customfodder at all (I mean what can be done with that windsheild/roof without making a completely new one?), but a bone stock, black one would be a cool car in my book. Didnt Phillip Marlowe drive one in the early seventies remake of "The Long Goodbye"?
