I started building this Ford as a daily driver and long distance cruiser, and as such wanted good suspension and strong dependable motor/transmission combination. It is in drivable condition and requires finish work. After getting this far with the build it was licenced, insured and running in 2006 and has less than 500 miles on the new components. This is a solid New Mexico car and no expense was spared and no corners cut in quality or craftsmanship.

ENGINE:
The flathead engine was professionally built at Automotive Machine Services in Albuquerque NM, by locally noted Ford specialist Doug Anderson. It has a Mercury crank, reconditioned rods, new pistons and rings and is on the first overbore. The rotating assembly has been balanced. It has Offenhauser heads(ARP studs) and 4bbl intake, Chevy stainless steel valves, adjustable lifters, an Isky Max1 cam, MotorCity Flathead full flow oil filtration system, O-ring front seal, and new water pumps. Has a Holley 600cfm and includes an extra 390cfm.

TRANSMISSION/DRIVETRAIN:
A Flat-O-Matic conversion kit mates the flathead to a rebuilt C4 transmission with GearVendor overdrive. The rear end is original with 4.10 gears and has been completely rebuilt with new bearings, seals, wheel cylinders and spring kits. The suspension is all Jamco Engineering Inc. Front discs with ball joint conversion, new springs front and rear w/ 2” drop, front and rear anti-sway bars, gas shocks, Volvo steering conversion, and heavy duty idler arm. A stainless steel liner has been installed in the original master cylinder.

BODY:
The body is original except for the modification to the trans tunnel to fit the C4. The rockers are rusted out, and there is some rust repair over the rear wheel wells. The floors have some rust, but are solid. The car has been rewired with a Ron Francis wiring kit and everything works, but wires are not cut to length and tie wrapped, therefore the wiring harness just needs cleanup. The Old Air Products air conditioner is installed but has not been charged with r34 and the ducting needs to be run from the evaporator to the vents. Wipers are 2 speed electric from Don’s wipers. As for the interior, the car has been recarpeted and seats and panels have been reupholstered. The headliner is original.
