got the engine out of my wagon to do some cleaning and painting.im gonna paint the engine and fenderwells body color.ive got my heart set on gold,and have looked at paint chips over and over.times running out because i have to paint this sucker while its out.ive pretty much ruled out kandy because i can shoot solids,but dont want to try my hand at kandy.
so do any of you guys have any really bright golds in mind that aernt kandies and that wouldnt look too modern .has to be late 50s , early 60s looking.im having a hell of a time finding the right color.any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I was in high school [back in the "olden days"] a buddy of mine's parents bought a new 64 Galaxie XL [extra large] 500 that was a really pretty metallic gold. Might have napa look up the color for ya.

I used to see a lot of 62-64 Impalas that were "Anniversary Gold".
