Hey, it's great to find this site and all of the excellent info from the collective wealth of knowledge by all the members.

Help, I recently did a valve job on my 61 chev. truck 235. I HAD to grind the piss out of the seats (some worse than others) to fix the leaks from a bad valve job. I now need to shim the springs but I can't find the spring height specs. Any info will be greatly appreciated. (I just got back my rebuilt rocker arm assembly from Rocker Arm Specialists in CA.)
Any tips on the project are welcomed and will be helpful.

Thanks
By the way, thanks to all who ran the pile up in morris il. another great year

hey 2four6...welcome. sure, the shims come in like 15-30-45 thousants. so use some thick ones. doesnt matter if u put them on top or under the springs. good luck with ur build. your new friend in TEX. call me POP or the old FART!
