Not bad. I always thought (and maybe there is) there should be a registry for clubs, even if non sanctioned. I have known some guys before who started clubs, named a club, then found out they were using a name already spoken for. If there was a database they could of accessed, they could have avoided some akward moments (one guy I knew had jackets, plaques, etc. done and found out they were plagerizing another clubs name).

Got one of the club I belonged to in the 60's. Club disbanded in the late 60's Road Gents from Muskegon. Being the club is no longer around another guy and I run our old plaques on our hot rods.

i saw some new and obviously old plaques, for people who have passion for this craft, its a good way to document contributions.... hell, would be even cooler to have pictures associated with it...

Shoebox - that was the CAMS in Connecticut

I think it stood for Conn. Auto Modifers Society

Most of the guys were from the Wethersfield/Waterbury areas

I see someone sent a picture of the Muskegon, MI Road Gents plaque. It was a 1962 to about 1970 club that Phat Rat and I belonged to. Plaque was drawn up by another pal who's still around but not into cars anymore. He had a nice '51 Ford tudor with a wicked rake and scavenger pipes - almost a cartoon car. Phat Rat and I still hang the plaque on our current rod.
