Up for sale is a great, rust free, 1954 Chevy 2 door Bel Air. Has a great running 327 backed with a 350 trans. Brand new driveshaft with a Ford 9" rear end. Edelbrok carb, new alum radiator, electric fan with electric fan controller. New fuel tank, sender, and electric fuel pump. New dual flowmaster exhaust with a great sound and a new 12 volt alt. Cut springs in the front with blocks in the rear. Drums front and rear, bias whitewalls on steel rims with rings and spider caps. All original stainless, new chrome rear taillight housing with lens. 12 volt converstion with modern fuse setup. Full autometer gauges that function, tall Lokar shifter, new carpet with dynamat, new door panels with original stainless and new window cranks. Redone 1955 Chevy steering wheel with all new chrome horn bar and cap, front and rear seats out of a Impala..they are low but work. Just shaved the door handles, lower rocker, and rock gaurds.
The bad....trans leaks a little bit. All gauges work except the speedo, no headliner or windlace, no seatbelts, and rear hits sometimes on frame. It had been painted a long time ago with a small amount of bodywork....but has great patina. It has scratches, only a few little dings, but looks the part of a 55 year old car. Chrome has rust, but nothing bad. Glass has a few bubbles, and rubber mostly needs to be replaced.
The good...one of the most rust free 54's I have seen, and this is why I bought it in the first place. Runs, drives, stops, clear title, registered, and insured. This project was on its way for a chop, mustang front, linked rear, bags, and paint.....but I have my eye on something else. So, to bring one in....one must go.
I drive the car at least once a week and is a great project to work on as you drive.
New price $7900obo.
