Extreme Homes...Car House

Did anybody else see th Extreme Home show on cable last night? They had a house they called the "car house" The house looked like it had a hood and headlights. There was a large "hood ornament" at the front of it. The house had a lot of neat details inside. He had hood ornaments everywhere. There was a small building seperate from the house that had an old front engine dragster in the middle of it. Instead of a motor in the dragster he had a woodstove in it. Th flu pipes came out both sides like zoomies. The coolest part of the whole thing was the garage. He used pistons and connecting rods from a ship for columns in front of the garage. The connecting rods had to be 8 foot tall! I think the hose was in the New England area.

I see people living in cars downtown all the time...a little more cramped quarters and not as fancy, of course!!!

Well I actually like hgtv. I fix cars for aliving and they are one of my hobbys(ok I mean sickness). I need some kind of balance, or should I say excape.

Extreme homes is a way cool show. I haven't seen the car one though. I can't even remember any other shows where someone did a car house theme. Some of thos whacky houses can be REAL cool, but some are just too far out for me.

I like the extreme homes show. There are some crazy houses out there. I've always liked cool architecture.

Although cars have basically been my life and livelyhood -my wife wont have ant auto styling in it or on it.If it were up to me all couches would be back halves of classics and desks would be frt clips-etc etc etc........!

Did anyone here see the 1 hour show they had on awhile back about the RICH guys garages? Bruce Meyer was one and there was one where the guy didn't have enough room to build the garage he wanted so he excavated the whole back yard, dug a 2 story hole and built his dream garage below ground. When they were done they put the back yard back the way it was including his wife's flower garden and fountain. Soome people have WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much money.
