This coming weekend i will be moving my grandfathers 46 chevy to my house. He passed away 11 years ago and i was very close to him so this build will very meaningful to me.
Although.. i don't think he would know what to think of what i'm going to do to it.(chop, channel, sbc, 4 speed, lakester headers...etc..) :D:D

Its a 1946 chevy. Used to be a 1 ton, or 1.5 ton i guess. Its been sitting down by the ditch since the late 70's i'm told. I can remember it being there when i was a kid and busting the windows out and shooting it with a 22. I guess its time for Karma to reach out and bite me for that one!:D

The frame has been cut off right in front of the firewall. And the rest was used for a trailer. So i'll be either looking to reconstruct the original frame and convert it to a regular truck(not use the 1 ton running gear) or move the cab to another chassis.

Lots of searching for info to do. I've been here about a week so far and there seems to be lots of info here. Nice site. :)

A few pics of its current position for the last 40+ years.

I'll start a build thread once i figure out what im going to do for a chassis and get started.

Perssonal: I used to be a supervisor for the fabrication shop at the local trailer mfg. But they went out of business here recently so i am currently unemployed. So this will be a lots of free time but not much money build.
