well i'll be damned, it worked. ok, heres the deal. the car does have all the trim on it, bumper included. this is just a pic when it was semi fresh out of paint.

ordering astros tomorrow. what else do you guys see happening?

Once you get the trim and bumper back on and the Astros mounted, I'd say it just needs a little lowering. Add some scallops if ya like but it looks like a pretty done deal to me. What were your thoughts?

right along those lines! needs to be LOW

the guy who had it before me tried lowering it by heating the springs. it's super unlevel, and not low enough. oh!, and the jackass never put the shocks back in. that was one fun ride home on the freeway.

i definately want to get some nice scallops going, and this car is screaming for some nice pinstriping.

down the line, i'm thinking a crazy flake for the roof. tangerine????? hhmmm.....

New Pontiac? When did they start making those again??

thanks for the compliments guys. i was a little weary about buying it cause it was a post, but damn, it'll still gonna be one nice ride with a little work.

i've got the dash apart and getting ready to shoot it the same green as the body. it's gotta have white tuck n roll with green piping.

i've gotta get some new springs to cut down for now, and then hopefully next summer i'll get bags on all four corners.

its a bummer the guy sprayed it without shaving anything but the pontiac up front and the fuel door handle. i've got the ppg codes, so the handles will come off, along with some of the other trim. i love the concave dip in the hood. great place for some nice pinstriping.

Man you have got a winning combination, slammed, bellflowers, skirts, astros, skinny whites, and a metalflake roof. Straight to Koolsville. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Metal Flake Tangerine will look killer with that green. So does that mean the Model A is on the back burner again?

There it is...

Nice ride man...Where'd you find it? Are you putting the A on hold for a while and "refocusing" your efforts on this POS?

Familiar color eh?

Flake bellflowers and astros, sounds like something I was planning. Should be a killer ride...

Give me a call with the details.

Can't seem to find a good pic of Bellflowers or Astro's, but I thought these salt flats rims looked kinda wicked! Definitely lower it as far as you can bear. My .02, but I think toning down the top a bit with some gunmetal grey flake helps to lower tthe car visually a bit...

I actually saw the "Green Bean" .. nice ride.. I like it alot better than the other one you had... bet it feels alot better with the new shocks now huh?.... the car is clean .. the body nice.. its gonna look good when its done... you just need to figure out what to do when you get a flat in the back ... since you cant get a fully inflated tire under the wheel well!!! ...

wow, that flake roof realy does make it look lower

nice ride

wow, thanks for the new photoshopping guys. starting to look like it should.

i ordered astros last week, so should have em on this weekend.

still need to find replacement springs to get it lowered properly. the jackass before me torched em, and boy are they FUCKED.

i'll post pics when the wheels are on. oh, and i'm thinking skirts in the very near future.

sammy, only the front tires are allowed to get flat. that's the rule. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Forsakenfew-

Check out the spare tire from an early-80's Caddilac. They're 16x4 rims with TINY tires... probably thin enough to squeeze into the wheel well, yet tall enough to raise the car so you're not dragging the frame. Since they're multi-pattern wheels, you'll have no problem with your 4-3/4 bolt circle. It's worth checking out so you don't end up stuck somewhere.

Ed

PS- I second the gunmetal grey roof. It looks 100X better.

I like MAIKI's direction... just added some very subtle scallops and the obligatory cutouts. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
