Looking to upgrade the front brakes on my 54 belair, she's stock drum now, just wondering which kits the best/cheapest/easiest to install. I need the stock brakes for my other project...

I've got a set of 53-4 Chev spindles with 'Vette four piston calipers and rotors mated to them. I have no use for them, shoot me an offer and figure out shipping. I'm not trying to make any money here, so tell me whats reasonable if you're interested.

I have been kinda interested in a set of those myself. Did you have to machine your spindles? I know all the ones speedway sells says they have to be machined. Scott

this is what I am going to use when I get around to doing it- No maching required- http://www.ecihotrodbrakes.com/early_chevy_discbrake_conversions.html

I have the speedway discs on both my model A and the spacetruck. They work really well. The only goofy thing is the special 90 degree fitting you have to buy to use them...sometimes it is tough to get it to seal.
