TRADED OFF FOR ANOTHER CAR_ GONE........
FYI
THE ONLY LEGITIMATE CASH OFFER I GOT WAS $3000.00
IT TOOK ME $3500.00 TO BUILD, AND THAT DID NOT INCLUDE GETTING THE BODY, REAR, WHEELS AND TIRES, AND THE ENGINE AND TRANNY FOR FREE!!!
THE MORAL BEING, DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME BOYS!
EITHER THE MONEY ISN'T OUT THERE, OR EVERYBODY WANTS SOMETHING FOR WAY LESS THAN ITS WORTH.
1926 ford t coupe-$5500.00
clear montana title.
new speedway front axle, spring, and radius rods.
54 chev front spindle/brake setup, new pads, hoses, and wheel cylinders.
new 55 chev master cylinder.
2X3 boxed steel frame, 3inch kick at the cowl, and 12 inch kick behind the seat.
pontiac V8 engine.
offenhauser dual port manifold
quadrajet, with a fresh rebuild.
400 cui.
turbo 350 auto tranny.
transverse leaf rear spring,80's buick rear axle/chev bolt pattern.
new 10 gallon speedway spun aluminum fuel tank.
51 ford F1 steering column&box
31 ford grille, 65 mustang radiator.
28-9 model A headlamps, 58 impala taillamps.
reproducion decklid, and comes with an original decklid inner brace.
the major issue with this car is the cooling system.
It works fine around town, but on the interstate after 10 miles or so it heats up.
I have done some research, and figured this stuff out:
rad is probably for a 6cyl. mustang.
rad is used, and probably needs cleaned out.
when the presssurized rad cap is lower than the thermostat(which this is) you create a overheating situation.
when you run straight open zoomies it leans the motor out, which means you might need to re jet the carb to compensate.
the electric fan might be blocking cool air flow at highway speeds.
I have run out of money and paitence for this project.
I estimate at least $300 is needed to get the correct size radiator, thermostat housing, and electric fan to make this more than a city cruiser.
I would love to sell it and get on to some other ones that I have going.
pm me for more details
you will need to trailer it home, unless you are in missoula:D, we can drive it on the trailer though.
