Hi everyone, I am 26 years old, and this is the first time I am trying to restore a vehicle.... I was 11 years old when I helped my grandpa pick up a worn out broken pick-up, he told me someday he would fix it up and make it a cabin truck. The years passed and about 3 months ago he called me to help him, I showed up at his house and he handed me the title to the 1959 Chevrolet I had helped him pick up 15 years before, he told me to scrap it. I secretly brought it to my house, gave him $60 out of my pocket the next day and told him it was what the scrap yard gave me for it. I have now begun working on this truck and hope to give it back to him up at the cabin for the fourth of july next summer! Here is where I stand...... I replaced all of the ignition components, got it running! It ran for a couple of days (after cleaning out the gas tank). Last week I had started it up and pulled it out of the garage, was letting it idle when it stalled. It has not started since. I made one big mistake, while re-wiring I bypassed this useless part (turns out it was the ballast resistor). Could this be my problem? Any help would be awsome! Thanks, Chris
