As a result of my inability to poop U.S. currency I am selling my recently completed Model A Coupe. Some of you may be familiar w/this machine from pictures on our beloved HAMB, some of you have checked the car out in person.
At the risk of tooting my own horn I will say the car is very nice.
It is as close to period correct (1953-1955 era) as any car I have seen. It has top quality parts at all ends & everywhere in between. The details are many, but I will try to hit on some high points.
I have seen first hand many of the professionaly built cars that grace the Hamb & that have been featured in hot rod publications that we all know & love. I would compare the quality of work, fit & finish of this car as being equal to any of them & better in some instances.
A lot of the details are obvious to most, and I understand this is going to be wordy, but if I was buying a car I would want to know as much as I could so here goes…

BODY 1930/1931 Model A Ford Coupe, chopped 2”, cowl gas tank removed, filler filled, rear wheel wells replaced they were decent, but I had new ones so what the hell, modified firewall, modified floor, no patch panels, the body was very clean to begin with.

FRAME/CHASSIS 1932 Ford Frame Rails narrowed to fit A body, C-notched in rear, Model A front & rear cross members, Chassis Engineering X-Member, 1939 Ford Pedal Assembly that I modified to accept mid 1960's Ford dual reservoir master cylinder.
A 1946 Mercury Coupe donated it’s radius rods front & rear, brakes front & rear, & banjo housings to help this coupe roll. Torrance City, CA Halibrand Quick Change rear end (comes w/2 gear sets, ring & pinion is 3:78, currently running 1:1 change gears). All brake, rear end internals (bearings, races, bushings, seals, springs, shoes, etc.) are new and/or fully restored. 4” Magnum axle dropped, drilled, chrome plated. Pete & Jake chrome shackles, shocks help suspend things. Chrome & Stainless steel detailing through out entire chassis (wishbones, front axle, backing plates, tierod ends, pitman arm, Ford Truck bell housing, main & 3rd springs of front spring pack, spring clamp, spring perches, you get it, lots of chrome!)
Rims are stock Ford, 16” x 4” Fronts, 16” x 4.5” Rears, front tires are double sided wide white wall Firestone 16 x 6.00. Rears are Firestone 16 x 7.00, 1946 Ford ribbed trim rings on the inside of the rims & NOS Hollywood 16” Hub Caps dress the rims off.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION Full race 1951 Mercury Flathead balanced, blueprinted V8, 3 5/16” Bore x 4” Stroke (276 cu.in.), Isky 400Jr cam, dual valve springs, Oversized valves (intake & exhaust), Ross forged aluminum pistons, grant rings, block ported, polished, relieved, flowed, adjustable lifters, aluminum timing gear, high volume oil pump, truck oil pan, Belond style stainless steel headers, Thickstun PM-7 Manifold, NOS Navarro heads, Vertex Magneto, lots of cool details. 1932 Radio Suppressors on plug wires, SS wire looms, Holley 94 Carbs, Carter fuel pump, Sharp Fuel Block, Lightened flywheel, new 10” clutch assembly.
Transmission is 1939 Ford Top Loader, all new internals (bearings, seals, bushings, synchro assembly, gaskets, etc.) 91A shifter Top w/ chrome shifter, heavy duty spring & ball detent kit. (Did I mention the cast Ford truck bell housing is chrome plated & painted red on the inside? Cuz it is!) Long story endless the car flys & is reliable as hell! There are just over 1,000 miles on the entire machine so all the bugs are out.
INTERIOR Period styled red & white rolled & pleated, 1932 Ford Dash, Auburn style gauge panel w/Stewart Warner Winged gauges, Chromed garnish moldings & dash rail, 1946 Lincoln steering wheel w/modified 1950 horn button (stock Lincoln horn ring). Cool 50’s turned dash knobs, interior courtesy lights, padded tuck & roll headliner, & matching upholstered trunk area.

INCEDENTALS 10 gallon Model T gas tank (fills from trunk), 1950 Pontiac Tail lights, OTB Guide 682-C Chrome Headlights, Polished F1 Style Shock Mounts, 1949 F1 Steering Box (completely rebuilt).

ASKING PRICE $32,000.00 OBO, will consider partial trades (1935-1941 Ford Coupes & stock or close to stock form + ca$h.)
The car got a pretty warm reception by many here on The HAMB, please reference the post “Prevent This Tragedy”, there are about 7 pages of opinions & comments http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=380423&highlight=prevent+this+tragedy
Like I said, lots of details, the quality of fit & finish is excellent, if you have questions, ask away, call or PM or email me. 414-744-5420, cheatercarl@msn.com
