Just joined and I would like to know if anyone is running SDRA in Michigan. Also, I saw a set of rules that included "any in-line six cylinder of 240 or less cubic inches". Anyone heard of this?

My understanding from talking to the SDRA guys is the 292 Chevy and the 300 Ford will be allowed next year.

Hi Ron, that might have changed to ohv 6 cyl that originate at no more than 260 cu in. That would mean 250 ford, 240 ford, 250 chevy, 258 rambler and jeep, 4 liter jeep(about 244 cu in.) and these would be a lot easier to find, with a top out of 270 cu in. Just think the 4 liter jeep is everywhere. Joe

The rules for next year have NOT been set. There is a lot of talk, but nothing is set at this time. Will post on the Tulsa Raceway Park webb site when they are final.

Barney Navarro got near 650 hp out of a 199cube AMC (little brother to the 258) in his 1966 Indy cars, some actually say close to 900hp by time they were developed into the 1970s.

Thanks for the reply's. I think my question should have been "Is anyone racing HA/GR in Michigan?"

You could be the first and start something special.
Drag racing............................................ ..old style.

Hell if you build to the HA/GR rules and spread the word you may even get few others around you excited about it, and the the word would spread to other places ,it could become a state wide phenomenon.
Hell after a few years you might even get to race against people from all over the USA/world.
