Hi,
I have a 31 Ford Roadster that has disc brakes on it. I would like to convert it back to drum type brakes. Does anyone know what will fit the 37-48 ford spindles. I would like to find something with a 4-1/2 or 4-3/4 bolt pattern so I won't have to buy new wheels. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

Thanks superbell, I should have done that first.
Anyway my name is Mike. I live in eastern North Carolina. I've been a car nut since I was a teenager (many years ago). I always seemed to end up getting involved in 60's and 70's muscle cars so you could say I'm new to hot rodding. I have always liked the rods built in a more traditional manner. They seem to have more character than the modern built rods. I have recently purchased a 31 Ford roadster. It's a nice car but has a little too much of the higher tech stuff on it. My plan is to change some of the parts and give it more of an early 60's look. Don't know if I'll be able to pull this off without spending alot, but I'm gonna give it a try. While searching for info on older style rods I found this place. It sure seems like the right place to be for older rods. Thanks for any ideas or advice ya'll can provide.

Probably have to go back 40 or newer orig style have te hubs/drums redrilled @ machine shop.
Not to be a smart ass but you are posting in section for questions & suggestions about the new HAMB board, how it works etc, will get more responses if you post in general discussion area, make sure you registeration, pick out a name for yourself (30 Roadster already taken) redo your intro in the general discussion area so the "HAMB police" dont jump all over you. good intro, welcome to the HAMB, I have a 30 roadster, old 50s rod on 32 frame, just bought week or so ago, if my stuff was in better shape would make a trade drums for discs. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks,
I tried to register but never got a confirmation email. I probably screwed something up. I'm not to good with computers. I'll try it again, then make the post on regular discussion board. I appreciate the welcome.
Thanks,
Mike
