My inlaws were asking how I got the inspiration for striping designs, They didn't seem to belive it was all freehand so I had a garage sale helmet laying around and decided to give a demonstration http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Thought it turned out pretty well.

...........first.........I would like to publicly thank "Flat Ernie" for being such a gracious man. He is one in a million!
Some of you may remember the "Wall of Stripes" raffle we did a loooong time ago? Several of us committed to doing a panel and then tickets were sold and the we would send our panels to the winner. "Flat Ernie" was the winner.
One excuse after another.........I didn't fulfill MY commitment. A few e-mails back and forth and Ernie was always more than understanding and VERY gracious. I would have probably just said, "You screwed me...forget it!"
Anywho........although it sure wasn't worth the wait, I mailed the panel out to Ernie today. The first shot is the painting on the clear Lexan ..........

Tbonz,
I have the pic stored on my computer. They need to be no bigger then 3.5 x 5 to post up here, and some of them that size won't post, lately I have just been saving them as 3x4 on my computer. I have a photo and immage galery that I can crop, resize and save pic with.

Pnce the pics are saved as 3x4 pictures, I write what I'm going to say and check the box for review your post. On the next screen, where it shows what you wrote there is a box for adding a file. Click the red "brouse" button and find the picture you saved on your computer and click open. Submit your reply. Hope this helps. Gene

He has more talent in his little finger than I do in my whole body.

We're also goin to distress paint my '46 Chev pickup using the same methods.

Here is a manifold and riser idea that I am working on. I decided to illustrate it and get it into vector art. It will eventually go into a self promotion series of artwork and onto a t-shirt or two. Then as I finish the actual model it will get cast in aluminum and get tested.

The manifold is going to me set up first for an easly 60's poncho mill and then adapted to a few other engines. It will run 4 81's or maybe 97's.

I think I'm really late or maybe early for this week.

Here's what I did to my Christmas preent. I didn't like how it turned out at first, but it's growing on me.

Another of my clubmates let me draw some twisted lines on his car. Again I'm not keen on how it came out but when i went to wipe it off, he told me to leave it, so it's still there.
