I'd seen this done before on The HAMB, can't remember who posted it before though, so when I saw this little end table on Craigslist for $1.00 I figured I couldn't go wrong for a cheap end table to store some paperwork in.

Total cost when I finished was $1.00!:D I did 3 mystery shop jobs at Lowes and the mystery shop company reimbursed me for everything I needed for this.

That's what I always thought about Dick Tiago's Ranchero.
Everything about the truck was beautiful but 'er face..

To be fair; that's a little unkind. So here's what I would offer
as a solution. I would splice a '59 Tbird front end on, paint it
Kandy Apple Burgandy and give it a Watson style scallop treatment.
Keeping the beautiful cut away look. I always loved this truck.

Here is my first attempt at pinstriping. I did my new garage "beer" mini fridge. I think that my beer is much happier now! The other is a leg of my workbench, not done with that one yet. Let me know how I'm doing. I had a blast!

Here is a car that I added the lettering to an original factory Pontiac race car. It was raced back in '62 by the late Don Gay out of Texas. I worked off some real rough photos but wanted the finished car to look period.

Igor is too modest to post his own work, but it RULES beyond words and needs to be shared. I started playing with The Straight 8s, a trio playing trad rock-a-billy with elements of surf and swing. I always dug the cocktail kits, and thought it would be perfect for the gig, using a full-size snare and cymbals I already had. I think I must have mentioned "pinstripe", "tiki", and "monster" in the same sentence, because I asked Igor to go with whatever hit him. He totally breathed life into this drum with his art, and I can't thank him enough.

well heres a little something I shot with a pinhole I just made .. I had a shoot in el mirage for a calender and this is an out take...

Igor is too modest to post his own work, but it RULES beyond words and needs to be shared. I started playing with The Straight 8s, a trio playing trad rock-a-billy with elements of surf and swing. I always dug the cocktail kits, and thought it would be perfect for the gig, using a full-size snare and cymbals I already had. I think I must have mentioned "pinstripe", "tiki", and "monster" in the same sentence, because I asked Igor to go with whatever hit him. He totally breathed life into this drum with his art, and I can't thank him enough.

Here is a car that I added the lettering to an original factory Pontiac race car. It was raced back in '62 by the late Don Gay out of Texas. I worked off some real rough photos but wanted the finished car to look period.

My bobber. Striping done by Craig Judd of Chowchilla, Cali and the Coop replica done by Frank Signs of Sand City, Ca. I'm also throwing in a horrible cell phone pic of a Peterbilt hot rod I saw during Concourse week. It was parked and for sale at a hot rod hang out in Carmel Valley. It's named "Pissed Off Pete". Don't know the sale price. Front rims were custom fabricated for the application and the motor was the original tractor engine with upgrades. Guy said it shook the ground when it was running.

More from 1987:

This continues the series of the designs I did for Hot Rod's "The Future" article, that appeared in January 1988.

These two views are of the same basic design, though the top roadster looks like (by the tri-star logo) I may have been indicating a Mercedes drive train... the bottom, a conventional "American Made" engine/transmission.

Those "dualie" tires and wheels are a little far fetched, (something I saw at the S.E.M.A. Show in 1986) but hey... I was taking a shot at the future, wrong as I was.

Though the body was aimed at all new construction, the basic underpinnings were all in the traditional style. Even the side exhaust was reminiscent of the LimeFire street & strip roadster I "drew up" for Pete Chapouris in 1986.

Same illustration technique as last Friday's offering and I'll include a close up for detail. -Charlie-

A Lomography camera or did you modify a cap, or make one? Its on 1/16th thick 5052 alloy sheet about 14 inches by 10 inches. Probably the wrong material to use but its what I had. Shrapnel :cool:

You don't remember me, but I talked to you at some NSRA event a whole bunch of years ago about your t-shirt art...and you were kind enuff to explain to me how you did the various screen patterns in your silk screen art...I still use your techniques today...I do 30-50 multi-color T-shirt designs a summer these days...without your explanation, I wouldn't be doing it today....many thanx...!!!
